Born into a musical family with a long tradition, Maria started her training at the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Joaquin Rodrigo" in Valencia, Spain with Professor Adolfo Bueso. She obtained her degree with the highest grade and she was awarded for her proficiency in piano class and in chamber music. She did her postgraduate studies in Rome with Piero Rattalino, world known musicologist, writer and pianist. She holds a Master in Music Research by the Valencia International University. During her music training, Maria took advanced courses with the following teachers: Rita Wagner, Istvan Gulyas, Nelson Dellevigne-Fabri, Albert Atenelle, Ramón Coll and Mario Monreal. She also took courses for contemporary piano with Jean Pierre Dupuy. She finished her training with Luca Chiantore at the Musikeon Academy, where she participated in many piano master classes with Josep María Colom, Frederic Rzewski, Erik Heidsieck and Andreas Staier among others.
Since 2004, she is a member of the “Teachers Corps Music and Performing Arts” in Spain, teaching in different conservatories in Spain. She is also interested in the diffusion of contemporary music and due to that fact, she participated in a tribute concert in 2008 about the figure of Frederic Rzewski, while he was present among the audience. In July 2011, she participated in the first concert for twenty pianos celebrated in Spain, an event that took place at the Palau de la Música in Valencia. From 2008 until 2013, she has been regularly performing with clarinetists Venancio Rius and Cecilio Vilar. Throughout this time, she was specialized in the repertoire for clarinet and piano. She has performed as a soloist and in different formations in many concert halls of Spain, as well as in other countries like Italy, United States and Canada, where she was an Artist in Residence at St. Thomas University in Fredericton.
In April 2015, she was selected as a Visiting Teacher by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, developing her teaching activity at Doral Academy Performing Arts in the city of Miami, USA. Nowadays, she develops her artistic activity in the United States with violinist Sandra Rubio, with whom she has performed several recitals in Miami including her pianistic debut in New York. In addition, she participates in different projects as a piano accompanist in several venues in the city of Miami, such as the Wertheim Performing Arts Center of Florida International University and the New World Center. During her stay in the United States, she has recorded live for the radio stations WDNA and Radio Caracol.
